This multidisciplinary project centers on the Ese'Eja Nation, an indigenous hunting, gathering and fishing people located in the Amazonian region of Peru. Both scientists and policymakers recognize the importance of the role of carbon cycle science in North America, however regional ecological studies in North America often do not include the role of Mexico.
