Katie McDade - After having worked for the Delaware Historical Society as a Teaching Guide since September 2013, Katie McDade became the Curator of Education at the Read House and Gardens in October 2014 and then Head, Read House & Gardens and Public Programming in January 2016. In her current position, Katie manages all educational programs associated with the Read House in addition to planning and implementing institution-wide public programming. She received her PhD in History at the University of Nottingham, UK, and has experience in museum education at Jamestown, Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation and Winterthur.
