Biography
Trevor A. Daly is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Delaware. In this role, his primary responsibility is to work with students who are enrolled in introductory chemistry and biology courses to further their ability to integrate key concepts from these two disciplines in the classroom, laboratory, and studio. In addition, during the Winter Sessions Dr. Daly teaches SCEN107 – Snack Science, an interdisciplinary course about the science of food and cooking.
Dr. Daly holds a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Colgate University, and Master’s and Doctorate degrees in organic chemistry from Lehigh University, where his research involved the use of organic and analytical chemistry to investigate the lateral organization of phospholipid bilayers. Prior to coming to the University of Delaware in 2013, Dr. Daly served as an Adjunct Instructor of Chemistry at Muhlenberg College (Allentown, PA), where he taught organic chemistry laboratories.
