"THE RIGHT SIDE OF LANGUAGE"
Zhenghan Qi is an assistant professor in Linguistics & Cognitive Science. She holds joint appointments at Department of Psychology and Communication Sciences & Disorders Program. Zhenghan originally comes from Shanghai, China, where she got her MD from Shanghai Medical College at Fudan University. She pursued her PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Illinois. After her postdoctoral training at MIT, she joined UD in August. Zhenghan's research aims to understand the neurobiological organization of language develops in the human brain. Today she will tell us how our brain prepares us to learn a new language and how language learning, in turn, reorganizes our brain.
